I have been exploring the world since birth!! I was born in Sri Lanka and adopted by my French Canadian parents at 2 weeks old. I then went on to live with my family in countries such as Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Uruguay, Colombia, and Mexico, each for periods of 2-3 years. Life abroad has definitely influenced who I am, but I know that I'll always be Quebecoise. I've gone back home to Montreal, to graduate from McGill University in 2004 with a bachelor in political science and biotechnology. I then went to New Zealand to pursue a graduate diploma in animal physiology, more particularly zoopharmacognosy.
Currently I am living in Sydney Australia where I completed a degree in Veterinary medicine. I am most interested in zoo/wildlife medicine as well as anesthesia. I've been getting as much experience in the field as possible, traveling to various location such a the panda centre in China, the elephant hospital in Sri Lanka and Thailand, various wildlife hospitals in Australia. I also like to go on expeditions where few have traveled which you can explore on the "Expeditions" page. When I have less time, I still try to go on meaningful trips which you can visit on my "Trips" page. I truly hope that I can make you travel through this website as well as give you an insight into the life of a veterinarian with a passion for exotic animals.
Depuis ma naissance, j’ai toujours voyage. Du Sri Lanka ou je suis nee, au Quebec ou j’ai grandi, adoptee a 2 semaines par mes parents quebecois. J’ai ensuite vecu avec ma famille en Arabie Saoudite, au Maroc, en Uruguay, en Colombie, et au Mexique, chacun pour une duree de 2-3ans. Je suis ensuite revenue a Montreal completer a McGill un baccalaureat en sciences politiques et biotechnologie. Meme si j’ai vecu a l’etranger la majorite de ma vie, je resterai toujours quebecoise.
Je vie presentement a Sydney, Australie ou j'ai complete mon doctorat en medicine veterinaire. Je suis particulierement interesee par la medicine d’animaux exotiques et par la recherche en nutrition et anaesthesie faunique. J’ai tente d’acquerir le plus d’experiences veterinaire possible dans different coins du monde . Les dernieres annees, je suis alle au centre de panda a Chenghu, Chine, l’hopital d’elephant en Thailande et au Sri Lanka, et fait des internats au zoo de Toronto, WCS Bronx zoo, et le Smithsonian a Washington. Quand j’ai le temps je voyage dans divers pays moins developes, voir la page “expedition” et je fais aussi des voyages de plus courts terme, voir la page “trips". J’espere pouvoir vous faire decouvrir quelques parties de pays a travers mon site web ainsi que vous donner un appercu de la vie d’une veterinaire avec une passion pour les animaux exotiques.
